Horn and wood
Besides buffalo horn, which is distinguished by its beautiful structure and great durability, we also focus on oiled olive wood, a renewable raw material with attractive graining and Mediterranean flair. Bog oak handles are taken from tree trunks that have lain embedded in bogs and can be up to 8,500 years old. The briar burl used frequently for pipe manufacturing is reddish-brown and vividly grained. The domestic woods we use include sycamore, expressive ash and beech wood. In a newly developed procedure, Finnish pine is made water-resistant by heating alone. The quality of the material combined with lacquers and oil guarantee longevity and lasting beauty.
