Somewhat firmer than silvertip. Fine badger is processed mechanically. To obtain the typical form, the crown is lightly trimmed where required.
Bog oak impresses with its pronounced grain and broad, striped markings. Bog oak handles are taken from tree trunks that have lain embedded in bogs and can be up to 1,000 years old.
Chrome is a silvery-white metal that is processed galvanically. Handles made of brass are first nickel-plated and then refined stylishly with chrome.
