With the launch of the new ENTHUSIAST series, MÜHLE is also introducing the first straight razor in a long time to its portfolio. With its replaceable blade, the ENTHUSIAST PRO is particularly suitable for professional use. However, experienced users will be sure to appreciate its functionality and high-quality materials for private use as well.
Safety first!
Probably the greatest unique selling point of this new straight razor is its well thought-out, unique mechanism for inserting and changing the blade. The locking system for the blade holder is both simple and ingenious. The hinge at the front can be opened in a single easy step. The CNC-machined contours that you can see inside the blade holder guarantee a perfect fit for inserting a half-blade. When closed again, the spring-loaded slide lock guarantees maximum safety while shaving. The blade is fixed reliably in place and ensures a precise shave.
Unlike other straight razors with a locking system, the ENTHUSIAST PRO is used with standard half or single-edge blades, which are produced by different manufacturers. However, if you don’t want to do without your favourite razor blade brand, you can also use their double-edge blades. These can be broken into two halves, still wrapped in protective paper and, of course, you must exercise extreme caution when doing this.
In order to guarantee a perfect fit also with blades such as these, the ENTHUSIAST PRO has special “pockets” on both sides of the blade holder that absorb any bending that occurs when the blade is broken. The second half of the blade is stored hygienically and safely in protective paper until you need it. This small detail helps to save materials and resources.
First class material selection
The ENTHUSIAST PRO not only wows users with its functionality. Its accurate mechanical properties were only achieved with the help of high-precision manufacturing technology. The stainless steel alloy 316L, which is also used for surgical instruments in the medical field, was used for the blade holder. The ergonomically designed handle is made of black anodised aluminium. All the materials used guarantee maximum durability as well as simple and easy disinfection, thus ensuring optimum hygiene. This puts the new straight razor in a class of its own, virtually eliminating material fatigue and wear and tear – a professional shaving tool for the ages.
